Ulraj with the medallion
I didn't come along just to hear about someone eles adventure- Ulraj
He is the prince of Kumari Kandam whose father was killed in an assault orchestrated by V.V. Argost. He allied with Zak to reclaim his kingdom from V.V. Argost. With help from the Saturdays, Ulraj reclaimed his kingdom, but V.V. Argost and Munya escaped with the medallion which Ulraj stated to be to dangerous to wield. The medallion was one of the keys to Kur.
He returns in The Underworld Bride to join the Saturdays on a visit to New Guinea to find a new cryptid that tries to eat Zon. He tries to train Zak Saturday with his cryptid skills by practicing on Rhinoceros Dolphins and later on combat training. Like other Kumarians, he is shown to be able to detect magnetic fields, shown when Komodo tried to sneak up on him. He tried to help Zak catch Zon by setting up a trap using a fishing net and a dead fish, when asked how and why he knew how to catch birds he said "We gotta eat too". Meaning that Kumari eat birds instead of fish, though there is no doubt an endless supply where they live.
Trivia
- After his return to the throne, he said he is fed rare chocolates and several massages. He also said this gets very boring.
- He always carries around a kelp necklace.
- Knows 14 surface languages
- Knowledge of how to catch birds using fish.
- His age may be questionable because he has a deeper voice than Zak and has what appears to be a mousatche.
