The Yeti or Abominable Snowman is an ape-like cryptid said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal and Tibet. It made its first appearance in The Kur Stone: Part One.

Biography[]

The names Yeti and Meh-Teh are commonly used by the people indigenous to the region and are part of their history and mythology. Stories of the Yeti first emerged as a facet of Western popular culture in the 19th century. Also, the yeti in the magazine and snow-globe are probably Bigfoot, note the brown fur.

The scientific community largely regards the Yeti as a legend, given the lack of evidence, yet it remains one of the most famous creatures of cryptozoology. It appeared in the episode The Vengeance of Hibagon on the back of the cover of Weird World magazine. Zak Saturday also has a snow globe with a figure of one inside of it.

In the episode And Your Enemies Closer, it was revealed that the Yeti is actually V.V. Argost which was also responsible for attacking the Blackwell Family causing the deaths of the parents and separating the siblings.

In War of the Cryptids, the Yeti's full background is revealed where it returns to its lair after attacking the Blackwells. Its partner in crime was the Xing-Xing and the two cryptids learned English from watching television (via a stolen TV). The Yeti was warned by the Xing-Xing that the humans would come after it because it had attacked and stolen many items from visiting tourists. The Yeti was unconcerned as it was making plans to live amongst humans after making a mask.

Series[]

Trivia[]

  • In And Your Enemies Closer, its size was made to the point where it could hold a normal human in its hand even though Argost is simply taller than most humans.
    • However, this could be described as going with Doyle's depiction of it.
  • It is implied, that Drew and Doyle's parents were V.V. Argost/The Yeti's last victims as Argost would don his mask and go onto live among humans.
